Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to the Fountain Pen Vault mobile application and related services operated by SHAPIR TOV, referred to as the “Service Provider”.

Fountain Pen Vault is a collection and journaling utility for fountain pen records, ink swatches, currently inked setups, writing sessions, nib maintenance, wishlists, and PDF or CSV exports. It is not a replacement for professional appraisal, insurance documentation, official valuation, or manufacturer service guidance.

Information Collection and Use

The Application does not collect, log, or store personal information when you download and use it. Registration is not required.

If the Application is used with an active internet connection, technical protocol data, such as an ephemeral IP address, may be transmitted to facilitate network connectivity. This data is not retained or used for tracking by the Service Provider.

No Accounts or Authorization

The website and Application do not require account creation, login, registration, user dashboards, protected pages, or authorization for normal use. Public website information is available without signing in.

Location Data

The Application does not collect precise real-time location information from your mobile device.

Third-Party Access

Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, no personal data is shared with third parties, sold, rented, or disclosed for advertising or tracking purposes.

Data Retention

The Application does not collect or retain personal information on servers operated by the Service Provider.

App records Pen records, ink swatches, hex codes, fill levels, writing journal entries, maintenance logs, wishlist items, exports, and settings are intended to remain locally on the user’s device unless a future feature clearly states otherwise.
Voluntary contact If you contact SHAPIR directly by email or other means, the information you voluntarily provide may be retained only as long as needed to respond to your request, handle support, or meet applicable legal obligations.

Data Deletion

Because the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, uninstalling the Application removes the app from your device. Local app records can be managed using your device controls and any in-app export or clear-data options available in the Application.

If you voluntarily provide information to the Service Provider by email or other means, you may request deletion of that information by contacting support@shapir.it.com.

Opt-Out Rights

Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, there is no tracking-based opt-out mechanism. You may stop using the Application at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

Children

The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age, or a higher age where required by applicable law. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from children or market to them.

Since the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, children’s data is not collected through use of the Application alone. If a child voluntarily provides personal information through other means, a parent or guardian may contact the Service Provider to request deletion.

Security

Because the Application does not collect personal data through normal use, the risk of personal data exposure is minimal. However, no security system is completely secure. The Service Provider applies reasonable safeguards to protect systems and any information it may hold from voluntary user contact.

Data Breach Notification

Since the Application does not collect personal data through normal use, the risk of a breach affecting app users’ personal data is minimal. If a breach occurs involving information voluntarily provided to the Service Provider, affected users will be notified as required by applicable law.

Changes to This Policy

The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Where required by law, consent will be requested before material changes take effect.

Your Consent

If you voluntarily provide information to the Service Provider and processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
